- Gladstone Street
Service Description
Around the world there are many different types of laces— bobbin, crochet, knitted, needle, or Nottingham lace, it can be confusing to know what it is you have and if it is special. This workshop has specialists from the ACT Lacemakers Group joining us to discuss identification, with Victoria Pearce, our senior textiles conservator. They will also be discussing the preservation needs of lace items and how you can best care for them yourself. Bring examples of your own collection for discussion as we dedicate an hour to all things lace. Proceeds will all go to support the ACT Lace Guild. Date: 9th April 2022 Time: 11 am to 12 pm AEST Location: Shop 8 Paragon Mall 8-20 Gladstone Street Fyshwick 2609 Canberra
